StyroVentures started small in western Canada to meet the growing need for an affordable EPS recycle option. It took 2 years of development and innovation to finally start recycling EPS in 2016 with their first customer in Red Deer, Alberta (about 1.5 hours away!) After figuring out the technology, the challenge in the beginning was to convince people that EPS recycling could be done AND that it should be done. After a few false starts and somehow arising from the ashes of Covid, StyroVentures is finally grown to be a national player across Canada servicing over 500 locations with expansion to the US market coming soon.

The next and upcoming evolution to our technology is to bring the manufacturing of these problem plastics back to North American shores and do all the recycling domestically. Styro Ventures has grown big enough to be able to work with the companies with leading edge chemical and technological innovations to make plastic recycling simpler, easier and better – and to do it right here in North America.
